Learning a new language can be exciting and beneficial on a personal and professional level. Whether you’d like to learn for upcoming traveling, educational purposes, to spruce up your resume, or just for fun, here are some tips to get you on your way to conversational fluency:

  1. Utilize Apps like Duolingo, Babbel, HelloTalk, LingoDeer, Rosetta Stone and Memrise
  2. Learn basic vocabulary → Quizlet is a great resource for creating or finding digital flashcards that can be practiced anywhere
  3. Practice vocabulary and grammar daily
  4. Watch movies you’re familiar with in the language you want to learn (we recommend keeping the subtitles on so you can follow along)
  1. Listen and sing along to music in the language you want to learn to work on pronunciation
  2. Connect with a native speaker in person or online
  3. Journal at least a paragraph in the target language every night
  4. Make travel plans if possible – immersion learning is one of the best ways to become fluent

Don’t be afraid to make mistakes while learning! Nobody gets it right immediately and making mistakes means you’re trying and putting yourself out there.

Good luck!

¡Mucho éxito!
